Who runs this site

Intelligent Acre is published from central Illinois by the founder of Clevis AI, Inc., which makes Clevis, an AI farm-management product that appears in this comparison. The publisher has spent more than twenty years in Midwest agriculture, the last five as an independent crop consultant.

Why say so up front

You should know that the person comparing these tools sells one of them. We built this site because the public comparison a farmer needs did not exist, and we'd rather publish it with the conflict disclosed than not publish it.

Here is how we keep it honest:

  • Every attribute for every product, Clevis included, comes from public sources listed on the product page, with access dates.
  • We use no Clevis internal data, and nothing about any vendor that isn't public.
  • We don't rank or score. If you want a score, the table lets you set your own weights, and we publish no default.
  • We take no money, ads, affiliate commissions, sponsored listings or free accounts from any vendor.
  • Anyone can request a correction with a public source, and every change is logged on the product page.
  • Clevis is marked Owner's product wherever it appears.

What this site is not

It is not independent in the ownership sense, and we don't call it that. It is not advice; prices and policies change, so verify with the vendor before you buy. It is not a hands-on review; marks reflect what vendors publicly describe.

Wording we hold ourselves to

We don't use "independent," "unbiased" or "objective" to describe this site. For software we write "US company, built in Illinois" rather than "Made in USA," which has a specific legal meaning for products. We attach no vendor's name to a superlative, and we publish no return-on-investment figures for anyone.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or agronomic advice.
